Raul Berina has over 20 years of experience in International Finance and Investments, specializing in Fixed Income products such as bonds, swaps, options, currencies, and exotic derivative instruments. He leveraged his global experience and network to form Magellan Financial Solutions ("MFS") in 2009. Prior to establishing MFS, Raul spent 1 1/2 years traveling, spending time with his family, and researching the formation of his new endeavor.

Previously, Raul spent 12 years as a Director of Fixed Income Hedge Fund Sales at BNP Paribas in New York, London, and Tokyo. His clients included some of the largest asset managers and hedge funds in the world. Raul started his career as a consultant for Devon Systems, a derivatives software company, that is now part of SunGard. During his time at Devon, he lived and worked in New York, Frankfurt, Paris, London, Tokyo, and Sydney, covering a number of the largest global banks.

Raul is a graduate of Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business where he received a BS in Finance with concentrations in Finance and International Economics. Raul also earned an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Fordham University. He started his career on Wall Street by working at Salomon Brothers during his final 2 years of college in order to help fund his education. Raul has passed the Series 65: The Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, and previously held the Series 7 and 63 as well as their equivalents in the London and Tokyo financial markets.

When he is not at work, Raul can be found with his wife and two boys, finding his
stroke on either the tennis court or golf course, or trying to whip up a fancy meal
in the kitchen. Raul serves as Chairperson of the Board for the Warwick Health
Foundation, a co-founder of his own nonprofit, Happy Feet Youth Sports Foundation,
and is an active volunteer for USTA Eastern.
